Leading Retailers Urge Amendment Vote on GENIUS Act

The Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA) issued the following statement encouraging Senators to support an open amendment process on the GENIUS Act:

"In order for the Guiding and Establishing National Innovation for U.S. Stablecoins (GENIUS) Act to fulfill its promise of unlocking a wave of innovation in the payments arena, more must be done to improve the underlying bill," said Austen Jensen, RILA’s executive vice president of government affairs.

"Allowing for an amendment vote on the Credit Card Competition Act (CCCA) will address the market failures of today and prevent the dominant legacy players from controlling the market of the future."
